A Certificação em Future Foresight é baseada num conjunto de ferramentas metodológicas utilizadas para exploração do horizonte, pensamento criativo, geração de ideias, análise de tendências, acompanhamento de incertezas, deteção de sinais fracos, alertas de disrupções e planeamento por cenários.
O Nível 1 do processo de certificação assenta numa visão geral do conhecimento elementar de prospectiva, incluindo fundamentos e literacia, nas principais premissas e princípios e numa imersão global nas principais escolas de pensamento e prática. Adicionalmente, é fornecida uma primeira exploração do S4 Futures (objecto do Nível 2).

António Alvarenga


António is a professor, seasoned consultant and researcher specialized in the field of Scenario Planning, Foresight and Strategy. Over the last 20 years, António has advised and trained +3000 managers in the areas of Scenario Planning, Foresight, Strategy, Horizon Scanning, New Product Development, Innovation and Sustainability. He is the Founder and Executive Director of ALVA R&C, a consulting company specialized in Foresight, Scenario Planning, Strategy and Innovation. He holds a PhD in Management Sciences at the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and has a strong background in the coordination of projects, workshops and training sessions in Scenarios, Strategic Foresight methods and Trend Analysis/Scanning.

 

Pedro Viana


Pedro Viana is a Foresight and Strategy Consultant at ALVA Research & Consulting and an Advisor to the Dean and Vice-Deans at ISEG Lisbon School of Economics and Management from theUniversity of Lisbon.He is also founder and executive directorof VUCA Strategy and member of the Steering Committee at COST Association. Frequently, he acts as Academic Reviewer in evaluation panels for the international accreditation of business schools. Simultaneously, he is working on his PhD in Management thesis, after having concluded the coursework of the doctoral programme. In the private sector, Pedro was Senior Management Consultant in strategy and finance at Accenture, after working as a Business Analyst at Deloitte and Treasury Analyst at Philip Morris International. He has over 15 years of professional experience, in Portugal and abroad, and solid expertise in management, foresight, strategy, governance, business processes, public administration, corporate finance and compliance

 

Artur Furtado


Action Head of Unit/Deputy Head of the Health promotion, disease prevention, financial instruments Unit of the European Commission. Member of the Strategic Foresight Network of the European Commission. Member of the Horizon Europe Foresight Network. Works to support EU countries health priority-setting and commitment to implementation of validated best practices. Was head of the procurement team responsible for +€3,3 billion contracts of COVID response material. Has been invited to collaborate with the Cochrane Review, The Economist, several think tanks in the area of public health, and foresight initiatives. Graduated in Economics, holds a MSc. in Management and a degree in History.

 

Margarida Barros


Margarida Monteiro de Barros has 20 years of experience in strategic innovation (applied innovation), sustainability and Design Thinking processes. Over the last almost a decade incorporated Foresight Methodologies into her work (in particular Scenario Planning and linking it into organizational strategy). Has transversal knowledge and experience in different stages of business, as well as in different industrial sectors. From October 2013 on, it is partly dedicated to Post-doctoral studies in Social Innovation, and research projects at CEG-IST developing research in the area of social innovation and innovation for sustainability. Holds a Post-Doctoral studies in Social Innovation from Instituto Superior Técnico from University of Lisbon (Portugal), PhD in Innovation for Sustainability from Loughborough University (UK) and Master in Design for Sustainability from Cranfield University (UK).
